ANALISIS KANDUNGAN LOGAM BERAT TIMBAL (PB) DAN KADMIUM (CD) PADA KERANG DARAH (ANADARA GRANOSA) DAN SEDIMEN DI PERAIRAN BANYUASIN
Banyuasin waters are an estuarine area that is vulnerable to heavy metal pollution due to land-based activities. This study aimed to analyze the concentrations of heavy metals lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) in blood cockles (Anadara granosa) and sediments, compare the results with the applicable quality standards, and calculate the bioconcentration factor (BCF) as an indicator of heavy metal accumulation by blood cockles from their environment. The research was conducted in February 2025. Sampling locations were determined based on the areas where fishermen harvest blood cockles. Heavy metal analysis was performed using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) model AA-7000. The results showed that the concentrations of Pb and Cd in blood cockles ranged from 1.67–2.15 mg/kg and 0.17–0.24 mg/kg, respectively. In sediments, Pb concentrations ranged from 27.42–36.02 mg/kg and Cd from 0.65–0.87 mg/kg. According to BPOM Regulation No. 9 of 2022 on food safety standards, the maximum permissible concentration is 1.0 mg/kg. The results indicated that Pb levels in blood cockles exceeded the quality standard, while Cd levels remained below the limit. Based on the sediment quality guidelines from ANZECC/ARMCANZ, which are 50 mg/kg for Pb and 1.5 mg/kg for Cd, the heavy metal concentrations in sediments were within acceptable limits. The bioconcentration factor (BCF) values obtained in this study fall into the category of low to moderate accumulation.
