ANALISIS PROTOTIPE HYBRID PANEL SURYA DAN THERMOELECTRIC GENERATOR DENGAN VARIASI HEATSINK
Solar Power plant is a solution to reduce the negative impact of global warming and promote energy sustainability in Indonesia. A hybrid combination of solar panel and Thermoelectric Generator (TEG) is deployed to maximize the output. But the power of this hybrid system still needs to be increased. Adding a heatsink can reduce the temperature of the cold side of the TEG, which increases the temperature difference and in turn can increase the output power. In this research, three prototypes were examined, a hybrid prototype of solar panel and TEG without heatsink, with heatsink, and with heatsink and additional fan. Each prototype consists of one 2.4 Wp monocrystalline solar panel, four SP1848-27145 SA TEGs assembled in series, thermal insulation, heatsink, DC fan, etc. The experiment results show that the prototype without heatsink produces the highest power of 1.607 W, while the prototype with heatsink and the prototype with heatsink and additional fan produce 1.466 W and 1.537 W, respectively. The hybrid prototype of solar panel and TEG without heatsink achieves the highest power because it produces the highest TEG temperature difference. This condition occurs because the temperature on the hot side of the TEG reaches its maximum without being affected by the heatsink, while the cold side of the TEG remains low due to the natural airflow from the environment.
