RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM PENGERING OPAK SINGKONG BERBASIS ENERGI SURYA MENGGUNAKAN PANEL SURYA DAN ARDUINO UNO R3
ABSTRACT This study aims to design and develop a cassava cracker drying system powered by solar energy and controlled using an Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller. The motivation behind this research stems from the limitations of conventional drying methods, which heavily depend on weather conditions and require a long drying time, particularly during the rainy season. The system utilizes a 100 Wp solar panel as the primary energy source, a battery for energy storage, and a DHT22 sensor to measure temperature and humidity. The Arduino Uno microcontroller manages the heating element via a relay module and displays real-time temperature and humidity data on an I2C LCD screen. Test results show that the system is capable of reducing the moisture content of cassava crackers from 82 to 25 within 25 minutes at a temperature of 50°C. The DHT22 sensor demonstrated an accuracy of 99.46 for temperature and 99.02 for humidity, with precision values ranging from 0.04 to 0.001 for temperature and 0.50 to 0.006 for humidity, based on calibration results using the HTC-2 standard instrument. This system offers a promising, eco-friendly, and efficient drying alternative, particularly beneficial for small-scale businesses. Keywords: cassava cracker, solar panel, Arduino Uno R3, DHT22 sensor, drying system.
