PENGARUH PEMBERIAN FEED ADDITIVE DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP IRISAN KARKAS AYAM BROILER
Broiler chickens are a type of commercial poultry breed that is intensively raised with the primary purpose of meat production. One of the indicators of successful broiler rearing is the increase in the percentage of carcass yield, which is closely related to the growth performance of broilers during the rearing period. A factor that can influence the increase in carcass yield is the addition of feed additives. A combination of acidifiers and probiotics can be used as natural feed additives. This study aimed to investigate the effect of diatery feed additives on the percentage of breast, thigh, and wing carcass yield on broiler chickens. The research was conducted from January 2025 to March 2025 at the Experimental Cage of the Animal Science Study Program, Department of Animal Production and Industry Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of five treatments and four replications, with each experimental unit consisting of five broiler chickens. The treatments applied were as follows: P0 (control), P1 (0.8% tetracycline antibiotic + 0.8% orange peel powder), P2 (0.8% tetracycline antibiotic + 1.2% orange peel powder), P3 (0.8% probiotic + 0.8% orange peel powder), and P4 (0.8% probiotic + 1.2% orange peel powder). The observed variables were the percentages of breast, thigh, and wing carcass yield. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and if significant differences were observed, further analysis was conducted using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the addition of probiotics and acidifiers in the diet had a highly significant effect (P
