TRUSS MORFOMETRIK IKAN PALAU (Osteochilus vittatus, Valencienne 1842) ASAL SUNGAI KELEKAR, KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM, SUMATERA SELATAN
The bonylip barb (Osteochilus vittatus, Valenciennes 1842) belongs to the Cyprinidae family. Studies on the morphometric differences between male and female O. vittatus fish from the Kelekar River have not been conducted. This study aims to determine the differences between male and female O. vittatus. This study uses a purposive sampling method. Samples were obtained from the Kelekar River, Pelempang Village, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. A total of 36 O. vittatus were used with a body weight of 16-73 grams, and a total length ranging from 10.8-16 cm. In this study, 11 truss were determined, consisting of 21 characters. The results of the study showed that the differences in morphometric trusses of male and female O. vittatus were A5, A6, B1, B2, B5, C1, C3 and D1. In conclusion, there are morphometric differences between male and female O. vittatus. Keywords: bonylip barb, kelekar river, truss morphometrics
