Article 66 UUJN has often been requested to the Constitutional Court to change the phrase "...with the approval of the notary honorary council" but the Constitutional Court did not grant the request with more important considerations and reasons. However, in the field, procedural errors often occur such as in Case Number 11/Pdt.G/2017/PN Mtw where notary Rudi Birowo gave testimony without prior MKN permission. So how are the legal regulations related to the investigation of notarial deeds reviewed from the aspect of police independence and How are the legal regulations that should be in the process of investigating notarial deeds based on the independence of the police in the future. This procedure aims to protect notaries from potential criminalization or unauthorized pressure, and to ensure that the legal process is carried out accountably and in accordance with the principle of due process of law. Thus, the presence of the MPD is important in balancing the legal interests and protection of the notary profession as a public official who carries out duties based on the law. The method used in this study was normative, namely by analyzing the applicable doctrines and legal principles. The results of the study showed that the role of Notaries in carrying out their duties has legal protection in preventing criminalization so that they can be accounted for before the law. In addition, in prevention, so investigations are required to follow existing regulations in accordance with Article 66 of the Notary Law and are based on the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).
