ANALISIS URBAN HEAT ISLAND MENGGUNAKAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS (SIG) DI KOTA BATURAJA KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ULU (OKU)
The increasing population in Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency has an impact on land use change, characterised by a reduction in the area of vegetated associated with the Urban Heat Island (UHI) phenomenon. This study analyses the influence of land cover and vegetation density on Land Surface Temperature (LST) through multiple linear regression analysis. Categories on the variables of land cover, vegetation density and LST were converted into numeric through the Scoring method. In addition, Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis was used to assess the distribution of UHI which was the focus of the study. The results showed a strong influence between land cover and vegetation density on LST, with a correlation coefficient of 0.776. The regression model is represented by the equation Y = 5.12 - 0.49X1 - 0.31X2 which indicates an inverse relationship between land cover and vegetation density and LST, indicated by the negative regression coefficient. The study, which also focused on analysing the distribution of UHI, showed a difference in distribution 2013 and 2023 characterised by a decrease in the area of Non UHI and a significant increase in the area of UHI in Baturaja City, OKU Regency. With the adjusted threshold value, it was found that the maximum UHI value increased by 7.28 oC in 2023. This finding is in line with the results of the correlation analysis of land cover and vegetation density to LST. Keywords: Land Cover, Vegetation Density, LST, Scoring, Multiple Linear Regression, UHI, GIS.
