PENGARUH PENDAPATAN NASIONAL, KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN, DAN KESEHATAN TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGANGGURAN DI ASEAN-5
This study aims to analyze the influence of education quality, health quality, and national income on unemployment levels in five ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore) over the period 2012–2022. Education quality variables are measured using PISA scores, mean years of schooling, and expected years of schooling; health quality is assessed using maternal mortality rates, life expectancy, and stunting prevalence; while national income is measured through Gross National Product (GNP). A quantitative method using panel data regression is employed to examine the relationships among these variables. The results indicate that education quality, health quality, and national income simultaneously have a significant effect on unemployment. Partially, PISA scores and expected years of schooling show a significant positive influence, whereas stunting prevalence has a significant negative effect. National income and life expectancy do not exhibit a significant relationship with unemployment levels. These findings underscore the importance of aligning education curricula with labor market demands and enhancing investments in public health and economic growth to sustainably reduce unemployment.
