VARIASI MEDIA TANAM PADA SISTEM RAKIT APUNG PIPA PVC DENGAN MEMANFAATKAN GALON PLASTIK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN TANAMAN PAKCOY (Brassica rapa L.)
The floating raft system is a planting method by placing plants on a raft that floats on water. The floating raft system involves the use of a raft consisting of polybags filled with soil or rice husks floating on a nutrient solution. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in planting media in the floating raft system of PVC pipes using plastic gallons on the growth of pak choi (Brassica rapa L.) plants. Variations in media used include a combination of soil, manure, and rice husk charcoal with different volume ratios. The study was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with four treatments and four replications, resulting in a total of 16 experimental units. The parameters observed included water content, bulk density, porosity, soil conductivity, field capacity, pH, temperature and humidity of the planting media, as well as plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, fresh weight, and dry weight of the plant. The results showed that the planting media with a composition of soil, manure, and rice husk charcoal (0.33:0.33:0.33) gave the best growth results for pak choi plants. Different environmental conditions to ensure the effectiveness of the floating raft system in a larger and sustainable cultivation scale.
