RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM PENGUKURAN CURAH HUJAN DAN KETINGGIAN AIR REAL-TIME BERBASIS INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT)
The increase in rainfall due to climate change has raised the risk of flood disasters in Indonesia. Real-time monitoring of rainfall and water levels is essential for mitigation; however, conventional instruments still have limitations. This study aims to design a measurement system for rainfall and water level based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that can transmit and display data online. The system is developed using an ESP8266 microcontroller, a tipping bucket rain gauge, an ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04), and a RTC DS3231 module. Measurement data is sent every 1 minute to the Firebase Realtime Database and displayed through a web based interface. The test results show that the system operated stably for 24 hours. The rain gauge sensor achieved 100% accuracy and precision, while the ultrasonic sensor recorded 99.6% accuracy with a maximum error of 0,28%. This system is considered feasible for real-time monitoring of rainfall and water levels to support early flood warning. Keywords: IoT, rainfall, water level, ESP8266, Firebase.
