PENGARUH SUHU TERHADAP MASA INKUBASI DAN DAYA TETAS TELUR IKAN SEPAT SIAM (TRICHOPODUS PECTORALIS, REGAN 1910)
The snakeskin gourami (Trichopodus pectoralis, Regan 1910) is a freshwater fish with economic value in South Sumatra. The production of this fish relies on wild capture. Cultivation of this species is constrained by the unavailability of seed technology. This study aims to determine the effect of incubation temperature on the incubation period and hatching power of T. pectoralis eggs. This study used an experimental laboratory method with a completely randomized design consisting of three treatments, each repeated three times. The research treatments were different incubation temperatures of 28±0.5℃, 30±0.5℃, and 32±0.5℃. The results showed that temperature had a significant effect (P˂0.05) on the length of incubation time and hatching percentage, but had no significant effect on larval survival. The higher the incubation temperature, the faster the egg incubation. The highest egg hatching power was 85.67% at an incubation temperature of 28±0.5℃. The highest larval survival rate was at a temperature of 30±0.5℃, namely 74.95%. Key words: embryo development, hatching fish eggs, snakeskin gourami
