REPRESENTASI EROTISME DALAM FILM BADARAWUHI DI DESA PENARI 2024 ( ANALISIS SEMIOTIKA ROLAND BARTHES )
This research aims to analyze the representation of women in the film Badarawuhi di Desa Penari (2024) by highlighting how eroticism is constructed through visual and symbolic narratives. The representation not only portrays women as mystical figures but also as entities laden with cultural and ideological meanings. Elements of eroticism appear through body imagery, seductive body language, revealing clothing, sensual voice, sexual fantasy, and the placement of characters within the storyline, as categorized by Zuhdan Aziz. To uncover the hidden meanings behind these representations, this study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis, namely denotation, connotation, and myth. The findings reveal that eroticism in the film is not merely a visual attraction but also serves as a symbol of power and temptation attached to the figure of Badarawuhi. Cinematographic elements such as close-up framing, slow motion, dim lighting, and soft intonation reinforce both sensual and mystical impressions. Thus, Badarawuhi di Desa Penari intentionally constructs a narrative of eroticism to strengthen characterization and influence the audience’s perception of the female body within the visual space.
