HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN MAHASISWA DENGAN KESIAPAN MELAKUKAN PERTOLONGAN PERTAMA PADA KECELAKAAN LALU LINTAS
Traffic accidents can happen to anyone and require correct and fast first aid. Knowledge about first aid is not widely known by the public. Good knowledge of first aid can influence readiness to provide assistance. This research aims to analyze the relationship between student knowledge and readiness to provide first aid in traffic accidents. This research uses a cross sectional design model. The sample in this study was 97 nursing students by sampling using a cluster sampling. Data were collected using student knowledge questionnaire and readiness questionnaire to provide first aid in traffic accidents. The statistical analysis used in this research is analysis using the chi square test. The results of this study showed that 41.2% of nursing students had insufficient knowledge about first aid in traffic accidents and 45.4% had insufficient readiness to provide assistance.
