METODE FERTIGASI CURAH DENGAN BERBAGAI JUMLAH PIPA UNTUK PEMBIBITAN KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)
A method system water application from the top of the plant that resembles rainfall is known as sprinkler irrigation. Sprinkler irrigation system can save water and time in watering plants and can increase water productivity because it can avoid surface flow, using a fertigation method that makes fertilization and irrigation can be done together for oil palm nurseries (pre-nursery) which require sufficient nutrients and water in their growth. This study aims to determine the performance of the number of pipes using the sprinkler system fertigation method in oil palm nurseries. This research was conducted from August to October 2024 at the Plant House and Soil and Water Engineering Laboratory of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research method used is descriptive method by designing and testing the tool then the data is processed using Microsoft Excel application presented in the form of graphs and tables. The sprinkler fertigation design uses planning and design tools at a pressure of 0.25 bar. The results obtained show that the number of rows of lateral pipes (P) has an effect on the watering pattern with the evenness of the outpouring from the zero point or the centre of the outpouring to the end of the best water outpouring obtained at 4 rows of lateral pipes (P₂). While watering time affects the water discharge, the highest average value at 6 minutes (T₂) reaches 0.00125 litres/second, the lowest average value occurs at 5 minutes (T₁) which is 0.00100 litres/second. This happens besides being influenced by the time of watering the pressure in the pipe also affects the flow of fluid poured from the sprinkler.
