PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MOBILE BANKING TERHADAP PENGELOLAAN KEUANGAN MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN EKONOMI UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Rapid technological developments have had an impact on many things, one of which is the ease of conducting financial transactions through mobile banking services, which are increasingly being used by students. Easy access helps students manage their finances more quickly and practically. This study aims to prove the effect of mobile banking use on the financial management of Economics Education students at Sriwijaya University. This study employs a quantitative method with an associative causal research design. The population consists of students in the Economics Education program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Sriwijaya, from the 2021-2024 cohort who use mobile banking. The sample comprises 145 students selected using simple random sampling. This study employs data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The data is analyzed using normality tests, linearity tests, and hypothesis tests conducted using simple regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence of mobile banking usage on financial management, as evidenced by the hypothesis test using simple regression analysis, which shows a t- test result of t_{calculated} = 4.064 ≥ t_{table} = 1.655. This means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, concluding that there is an influence of mobile banking usage on the financial management of Economics Education students at Sriwijaya University. It is recommended that future researchers add other relevant variables such as lifestyle or the use of other financial applications like e-wallets. It is also suggested to use mixed methods to obtain more in-depth results, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Keywords : Mobile Banking, Financial Management
