Stunting is a common issue in low- and middle-income countries, including Indonesia, particularly in rural areas. Stunting is a problem that occurs in low- and middle-income countries, including Indonesia, especially in rural areas. Stunting has a detrimental functional effect on child growth and development. Some indirect causes of stunting include environmental sanitation and clean and healthy living behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between environmental sanitation and clean and healthy living behavior with the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The research method is quantitative with a cross-sectional study design. This study sample involved 50 toddlers, with the sampling technique used purposive sampling according to the inclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria in this study were children who had lived permanently for the past year and did not suffer from physical disabilities or infectious diseases such as chronic diarrhea that had been suffered for 14 days. The research instruments for environmental sanitation and clean and healthy living behavior were measured through a questionnaire. The stunting variable was measured directly using an infantometer and a stadiometer. Data analysis univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test with statistical software and WHO Anthro. Based on the research results, it shows that the variable not related to the incidence of stunting is environmental sanitation with a p-value of 1.000 and the related variable is clean and healthy living behavior with a p-value of 0.005. Education is needed to improve clean and healthy living behavior, especially washing hands with soap and running water before feeding children to prevent stunting.
