PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN VIDEO ANIMASI BERBASIS KARAKTER PEDULI LINGKUNGAN PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN PANCASILA DI SMP
This study aims to produce valid, practical, and effective learning media in the form of animated videos based on characters who care about the environment for Pancasila Education subjects in junior high schools. This study was conducted in class VIII of SMPN 7 Bayung Lencir, with 71 students as research subjects. The type of research used was Development Research (DR) by adopting the ADDIE development model and Tessmer Evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, expert reviews, one-to-one and small group discussions, and pre- and post-tests. The validation results obtained an average score of 89% for the material, 89.2% for the language, and 95.6% for the media, with an overall average score of 92.6%, indicating a ‘highly valid’ category. The practicality score for one-to-one was 91.9% and for small groups 90.4%, with an overall average score of 91.15%, indicating a ‘highly practical’ category. Furthermore, the effectiveness of character-based animated video learning media can be seen from the learning outcomes of students measured through field trials in pre-tests 57.51% and post-tests average score of 85.10% and the calculation of an average N-Gain score of 0.62, which falls into the ‘moderate’ category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that animated video learning media based on environmentally conscious characters is proven to be valid, practical, and effective for use as learning media for Pancasila Education in junior high schools.
