PERKEMBANGAN INFRASTRUKTUR GEREJA HURIA KRISTEN BATAK PROTESTAN RESSORT PALEMBANG TAHUN 2010-2020
This study explores the development of the Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP) Church in Palembang from 2010 to 2020. Employing historical, sociological, and anthropological approaches, it investigates the church’s growth in congregation size, infrastructure expansion, social engagement, and adaptation to digital worship during the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings show a rise in membership from 1,112 to 3,473, increased community outreach, and strengthened leadership through training programs. The study concludes that HKBP Palembang has become a resilient and inclusive spiritual center for the Batak community, though its qualitative nature limits generalizability. Future research may compare developments across other HKBP branches or evaluate the long-term effects of digital ministry. Keywords: HKBP Palembang, church development, congregation growth, digital worship, Batak community, social ministry.
