IMPLIKASI LITERASI KESEHATAN IBU, PEMBERIAN ASI DAN PEMANTAUAN PERTUMBUHAN BALITA TERHADAP KEJADIAN STUNTING DI KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
Stunting is a global health issue that affects children's physical and cognitive growth, including in Indonesia, with Banyuasin Regency as one of the affected areas. This study aimed to analyze the implications of maternal health literacy, breastfeeding practices, and growth monitoring on stunting incidence. A case-control design was used with 214 infants (107 stunted, 107 normal) selected through cluster sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and anthropometric measurements and analyzed using Chi-Square tests, logistic regression, path analysis, and Multi-Group Analysis (MGA). Maternal health literacy related to breastfeeding was significantly associated with stunting (p=0.002; OR=2.884) and influenced the duration of breastfeeding (t=4.683; p=0.000; coef=0.252), which in turn affected infant nutritional status (t=3.306; p=0.001; coef=0.209). However, literacy regarding growth monitoring showed no significant association with monitoring behavior or nutritional status.
