PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) BERBANTUAN LKPD TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN EKONOMI KELAS XI DI SMA NEGERI 1 PALEMBANG
This study was conducted to examine the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by student worksheets (LKPD) on students' critical thinking skills in the Economics subject for Grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. This research is a causal associative study using a quantitative approach. The population in this study consisted of 38 students from class XI.II at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. Quality education plays a crucial role in shaping human resources who are critical and innovative. One of the essential competencies that needs to be developed is critical thinking ability, especially in Economics, which requires analysis of real-world phenomena. However, at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang, students' critical thinking skills remain low due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods. This study aims to determine the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Student Worksheets (LKPD) on the critical thinking skills of Grade XI students. Using a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest design, the results showed a significant improvement in critical thinking ability, with a t count of 77.004 > t-table of 1.994, and an increase in score from 74.86% to 93.55%. These findings indicate that the PBL model assisted by LKPD is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills in Economics learning.
