This study aims to find out what factors affect employee performance and to examine whether work stress and work environment are causal factors that affect employee performance. This research was conducted at PT Karya Maju Utama Palembang. The methodology used in this study is a quantitative approach using questionnaires to samples in this case to employees with 40 respondent samples. While the data analysis technique in this study uses the SPSS 23.0 application with types of test instruments, classical assumptions to hypothesis testing. Referring to the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be explained that work stress and the physical work environment have an influence on employee performance at PT. Karya Maju Utama Palembang. The research results show that there is a negative effect of work stress on employee performance, and there is a positive effect of the physical work environment on employee performance. Both variables are considered to be factors that affect the performance of employees at PT. Karya Maju Utama Palembang.
