This research is entitled “The History of Kajang Boat as an Icon of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency”. The formulation of the problem in this study is How is the history of kajang boats in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, How is the process of kajang boats made an icon of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the history of kajang boats in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, as well as to determine the process of kajang boats made an icon of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The method used in this research is the historical method with research steps namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The approaches used are sociology approach, geography approach and anthropology approach. Based on the results of the research, the kajang boat is very synonymous with Kayu Agung because in the past, kajang boats were used to transport resin, gambier and pottery from Kayu Agung. The kajang boat has been used as an icon of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency since 2004, namely in Taman Kota Kayu Agung and Taman Segitiga Emas (Amri Yahya City Park). Furthermore, for now several buildings in Ogan Komering Ilir Regency use replicas of kajang boats in the Biduk Kajang Sports Building (Kajang Boat), Bende Seguguk Museum, Solihin Grand Mosque, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency Regional Library, ASN Office Clothing Batik Kajang Boat, Double Road Park (Roadblock), and Road Signboard
