KAMPANYE KOMUNIKASI ISLAMIC HEALTH PROMOTING SCHOOL PROGRAM (I-HELP) DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRAKTIK GIZI DI SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 36 JAKARTA
Adolescents in Indonesia are still facing the triple burden of malnutrition, namely undernutrition, overnutrition, and micronutrient deficiencies. As a food and nutrition organization, SEAMEO RECFON has initiated a school-based nutrition program called Nutrition Goes to School (NGTS), also known in DKI Jakarta as Islamic Health Promoting School Program (I-HELP). SMP Muhammadiyah 36 Jakarta is one of the schools that has been implementing this program since 2020. This study aims to analyze the I-HELP communication campaign in improving nutrition practices at the school. The researcher uses a qualitative method with a case study approach and adopts the Ostergaard campaign model. Data collection techniques in this study include interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that before the campaign was implemented, the school first identified existing nutrition and health problems. Based on the identified issues, the campaign was then integrated into intraclass activities, co-curricular activities, and through the use of school facilities. However, the campaign has not yet been able to consistently and evenly improve students' knowledge, attitudes, skills, and nutrition practices. This is due to the lack of variety in nutrition education, inconsistency between campaign messages and role models from the school, as well as weak control and follow-up in the implementation of the program.
