The production process in the wood processing industry utilized various types of machines that generated high levels of noise. Exposure to noise that exceeded the Threshold Limit Value (TLV) had a negative impact on workers’ health, including increasing the risk of hypertension. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between noise intensity and the incidence of hypertension among production workers at PT. Sumatera Prima Fibreboard. The study employed a cross-sectional design with a total sample of 46 respondents. Data were collected by using questionnaires and direct measurements using a Sound Level Meter (SLM), digital sphygmomanometer, digital scales, and microtoise. Data analysis was carried out in stages, consisting of univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The results suggested significant association between hypertension and the following factors noise intensity (p-value=0,036; PR=5,029; CI; 0,750-33,732), family history (p-value=0.000; PR=5.544; CI=2.150–14.297), Body Mass Index (BMI) (p-value=0.027; PR=2.571; CI=1.257–5.261), smoking habits (p-value=0.017; PR=4.397; CI=1.141–16.934), sleep quality (p-value=0.016; PR=2.852; CI=1.282–6.342), and work tenure (p-value=0.009; PR=3.920; CI=1.300–11.821) with the incidence of hypertension among workers. However, no association was found between age, the use of hearing protection devices, and duration of exposure with the incidence of hypertension among production workers at PT. Sumatera Prima Fibreboard. The study concluded that noise intensity, family history, BMI, smoking habits, sleep quality, and work tenure were significantly associated with the incidence of hypertension in production workers at PT. Sumatera Prima Fibreboard.
