ANALISIS PENGARUH ISIAN BAHAN PELEDAK TERHADAP TINGKAT GETARAN TANAH DI PT SEMEN PADANG (PERSERO), SUMATERA BARAT
Blasting activities in the mining industry can generate ground vibrations that pose risks to nearby structures and community comfort. This study aims to analyze the effect of explosive charge on ground vibration levels (peak vector sum/PVS) at the limestone quarry of PT Semen Padang (Persero), West Sumatra. The objectives include: identifying current blasting conditions, analyzing the relationship between scaled distance and PVS, and determining the optimal explosive charge to maintain PVS ≤2 mm/s, in accordance with the national standard (SNI 7571:2010). The research methodology involved literature review, field observation, collection of primary and secondary data, and data analysis using power regression in Microsoft Excel. Collected data included explosive charge per delay, measurement distances, and PVS values recorded using the Micromate III device. The analysis showed that several measured PVS values exceeded the safety threshold, with the highest value recorded at 4.064 mm/s. The relationship between scaled distance and PVS indicated a very strong correlation (R² = 0.9148). Based on regression results, the recommended explosive charge to achieve PVS ≤2 mm/s ranges from 59 to 165 kg, depending on the measurement distance. This study contributes to controlling ground vibrations caused by blasting, aiming to ensure safety and sustainability in mining operations around PT Semen Padang’s site.
