PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN AKTIVATOR MOL BONGGOL PISANG PADA SILASE RUMPUT BENTO RAYAP TERHADAP NH3, VFA, DAN TOTAL BAKTERI
Termite bento grass (Leersia hexandra) is a species of freshwater grass that has a higher nutritional content and nutritional value than other marsh grasses, this grass is generally not available all the time, to ensure the availability of this grass requires silage processing technology, silage technology is animal feed made through the fermentation process of forage materials (such as grass, corn, or leguminous plants) under anaerobic conditions (without air). This process aims to preserve forage so that it can be used as feed during the dry season or when the availability of fresh feed is limited. This research aims to study the effect of Local Microorganism Activator (MOL) Banana Bark on Silage of Termite Bento Grass on the content of NH3, VFA and Total Bacteria. This research was conducted from October to December 2024 at the Experimental Cage of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University and continued at the Animal Nutrition and Diet Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The design used in this study was a complete randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replicates so that 16 experimental units were obtained. the treatments given consisted of P0 (100% Leersia hexandra), P1 (100% Leersia hexandra + 3% Banana Bark MOL), P2 (100% Leersia hexandra +6% Banana Bark MOL), P3 (100% Leersia hexandra + 9% Banana Bark MOL). The parameters observed in this study were Ammonia (NH3), Volatile Fatty Acids (VFA) and Total Bacteria. Analysis of research data used analysis of variance and if the treatment had a significant effect, Duncan's further test was conducted. The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P
