This study aims to (1) describe the need for developing a flipbook-based e-module of history texts in Indonesian language learning for grade XII of senior high school; (2) design a flipbook-based e-module of history texts that focuses on rewriting historical texts into explanatory form; (3) describe the feasibility of the developed e-module product according to experts; (4) describe the results of practicality tests of the e-module; and (5) describe the results of effectiveness tests of the e-module. This research method uses a combined development model of the Dick Carey & Carey model and the Allessi & Trollip model. The research data consists of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews, while quantitative data were obtained through questionnaires and pretest-posttest tests. This e-module was developed based on the results of a needs analysis of students and educators at Al-Fahd Islamic High School, Palembang. The structure of this e-module consists of local history materials in the form of Palembang puppets, learning videos, examples of historical texts, links to articles and digital books, Quizizz links, Google Forms, and integration into a flipbook format developed using Canva. The validation results show that the e-module is very feasible to use, with validation results from three experts: material experts 76.8% (feasible), media experts 100% (very feasible), and language experts 86.5% (very feasible). The practicality test was carried out through one-to-one tests, small groups, and field tests which showed a very high level of practicality, with an average score of 86%–97%. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test showed a significant increase in the ability to rewrite historical texts into explanatory form, with an average pretest score of 62.07 and a posttest score of 85.06.
