HUBUNGAN LINGKUNGAN FISIK RUMAH, POLUSI UDARA DALAM RUANG DAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF DENGAN KEJADIAN PNEUMONIA PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS GANDUS KOTA PALEMBANG
Based on a report published by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the number of pneumonia cases in Indonesia has increased significantly from 2022 to 2023, as many as 17,301 cases. The physical environment of the house, indoor air pollution and exclusive breastfeeding are factors related to the incidence of pneumonia in toddlers. This study aims to analyze the relationship between these factors and the incidence of pneumonia in toddlers in the Gandus Health Center Work Area, Palembang City. This study used a case-control study design with a sample of 111 respondents with a case-control ratio of 1:2, namely (37 cases, 74 controls.Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. Based on the results of the bivariate analysis, a significant relationship was found between ventilation area (p-value 0.027), temperature (p-value 0.004), humidity (p value 0.019), wall type (p-value 0.008), floor type (p-value 0.008), residential density (p-value 0.008. From the results of the multivariate analysis, it was found that the type of wall (p-value = 0.000; OR = 7.856; CI = 2.510 - 24.587) was the most dominant variable related to the incidence of pneumonia. It can be concluded that the physical condition of the house in general is a risk factor for the incidence of pneumonia. pneumonia through campaigns or counseling related to healthy homes and prevention of pneumonia transmission.
