PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN MELALUI MEDIA VIDEO TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN SISWA MENGENAI DAMPAK KEHAMILAN USIA DINI
Introduction: The World Health Organization (2020) reports that approximately 12 million girls aged 15-19 give birth each year in developing countries. At least 10 million unwanted pregnancies occur annually. In Indonesia, the high rates of adolescent marriage and pregnancy highlight the need to increase young people's knowledge of the consequences of early pregnancy. This study aimed to determine the effect of health education using video media on students' knowledge about the impacts of early pregnancy. Methods: The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The population included all grade X and XI students at State Senior High School 1 Batang Hari Leko, totaling 98 students. A sample of 86 students was selected using stratified random sampling. Data was analyzed with the Marginal Homogeneity Test. Results: The findings indicated a significant effect of health education via video media on students' knowledge about the consequences of early pregnancy, with a p-value of 0.000. Conclusion: Delivering health education through video media effectively increases students' awareness of early pregnancy consequences, as this medium is engaging and accessible, making it a valuable tool for health education.
