PERANCANGAN SISTEM PERINGATAN PERGANTIAN WATER FILTER CARTRIDGE BERDASARKAN KECEPATAN ALIRAN DAN KEKERUHAN AIR HASIL FILTRASI
This research developed a "Water Filter Cartridge Replacement Warning System Based on Flow Speed and Turbidity of Filtered Water" using Arduino Uno as a microcontroller. The implementation of the system is carried out using a waterflow sensor to measure water discharge and a turbidity sensor to measure water turbidity. Then the pressure value is obtained from the calculation of the linear equation of water discharge. Data from both sensors is displayed via the I2C LCD and the buzzer will illuminate as a warning when the system detects that there has been a 50% increase in pressure from the initial condition and that the water turbidity exceeds 500 NTU. The test results showed that the system had an absolute error average of 2% for water discharge measurements from 10 experiments, and 23.50 NTU for water turbidity detection from 5 different water samples. This study concludes that the water filter cartridge replacement warning system based on the flow speed and turbidity of water is effective in helping to maintain the quality of filtered water and improve efficiency in water filter maintenance.
