ANALISIS PENGARUH KONDISI PENYIMPANAN ELEKTRODA LOW HIDROGEN E7018 TERHADAP CACAT LAS DENGAN INSPEKSI NON-DESTRUCTIVE TEST
This study aims to (1) determine the effect of electrode storage conditions on the resulting welding defects, (2) determine the effect of different electrode storage locations on welding results, and (3) determine what types of welding defects are produced by E7018 electrodes that have been given several treatments. The method used in this study is an experiment, the number of samples made as many as 4 samples is divided into 4 variations of electrode storage conditions using low-carbon steel, namely ST 37. Testing consists of a non-destructive test or a non-destructive test using Dye penetrant. The results of this study are that the condition of electrodes stored in various conditions in a span of one week affects the resulting welding defects, the difference in the storage of electrodes affects the welding results, electrodes stored indoors and outdoors will cause more welding defects compared to electrodes stored in insulin and also electrodes that are newly opened from the packaging, The characteristics of the E7018 low hydrogen electrode in indoor and outdoor storage conditions are moist while the E7018 low hydrogen electrode in the storage conditions of insulin and the new electrodes of the packaging are dry. Keywords : Electrode E7018; Non-Destructive Test, ST 37, Weld defect, Welding
