ANALISIS PERSEPSI PETANI DALAM MENGGUNAKAN PESTISIDA DAN PUPUK SERTA HUBUNGANNYA DENGAN PENDAPATAN USAHATANI PADI DI DESA SUKA PULIH KECAMATAN PEDAMARAN KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR
Rice, as one of the main commodities in Indonesia, plays a very important role in meeting national food needs. As the staple food for the majority of the population, rice is one of the key factors in maintaining food security. In addition to being a primary food source, rice cultivation also serves as a significant source of income for farmers. This research aims to: (1) Analyze farmers' perceptions in using pesticides and fertilizers in Suka Pulih Village, Pedamaran Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, (2) Analyze farmers' income in using pesticides and fertilizers in Suka Pulih Village, Pedamaran Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, and (3) Analyze the relationship between farmers' perceptions in using pesticides and fertilizers and their income in Suka Pulih Village, Pedamaran Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The results showed that farmers' perceptions of fertilizer use in terms of availability were classified as strongly agree with an average of 8.03, in terms of risk as strongly agree with an average of 8.63, in terms of suitability as strongly agree with an average of 8.57, in terms of production quantity as strongly agree with an average of 8.63, and in terms of effectiveness of results as strongly agree with an average of 8.73. Meanwhile, farmers' perceptions of pesticide use in terms of availability were classified as strongly agree with an average of 8.53, in terms of risk as strongly agree with an average of 7.97, in terms of suitability as strongly agree with an average of 8.63, in terms of production quantity as strongly agree with an average of 8.50, and in terms of effectiveness of results as strongly agree with an average of 8.73. The average income of farmers using fertilizers and pesticides was Rp15,249,611. Furthermore, there was a significant relationship between farmers’ perceptions and their income, with a correlation coefficient of 0.745 for fertilizer users and 0.425 for pesticide users.
