LITERATURE REVIEW: HUBUNGAN STATUS GIZI DAN KEBIASAAN MINUM TEH DENGAN KEJADIAN ANEMIA PADA REMAJA PUTRI DI INDONESIA
Anemia in women occurs when hemoglobin (Hb) levels are below the normal limit 12 grdl. One of the factors that can cause anemia is the habit of drinking tea, because the tannin content in tea can interfere with the body’s iron absorption process. In addition, nutritional status also contributes to the incidence of anemia, especially in adolescent girls. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional status and tea drinking habits and anemia incidence in adolescent girls. The method used is in the form of a literatur review, which involved searching, summarizing, and drawing conclusions from various previous literatur studies. Literatur was collected from the Google Scholar database, the Garuda Portal, and the Publish or Perish application, with a range of 2015 to 2025. The search was conducted using the keywords "Anemia", "Nutritional Status", "Adolescent Women", and "Tea" in Indonesian and English. From the initial search results, 32 literatur that met the inclusion criteria were obtained. After being selected based on the availability of full-text and relevance, 15 journals were obtained that were sampled and analyzed using a matrix table. The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between nutritional status and tea drinking habits with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls. The conclusions of this literatur review shows that adolescent girls with an undernourished status have a higher risk of developing anemia due to insufficient iron intake. The habit of drinking tea also contributes to anemia because the tannin content in tea inhibits the absorption of iron. Therefore, education is needed about the right time to consume tea and the importance of consuming balanced, nutritious foods.
