PERUBAHAN POLA KELAHIRAN PASCA IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM KAMPUNG KB DI DESA TANJUNG SETEKO KECAMATAN INDRALAYA KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
This study discusses changes in birth patterns following the implementation of the Family Planning Village Program (Program Kampung KB) in Tanjung Seteko Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The purpose of this research is to describe changes in the mother's age at childbirth, the number of children, and birthing practices after the Program Kampung KB was implemented, as well as to identify the factors influencing these changes. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a case study research strategy. The theory applied is Gillin and Gillin's social change theory. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show significant changes, including: the mother's age at childbirth shifted to an ideal range (20-35 years) from previously teenage years (17-20 years), the number of children per family decreased to 2-3 from previously 5-8, and birthing practices that were once traditional have increasingly been conducted in modern health facilities. These changes were driven by internal factors such as increased awareness and family support, and external factors including government roles, information and education, and the availability of health services. Despite challenges such as community busyness and geographical conditions, the Program Kampung KB has demonstrated success in promoting changes in birth patterns in Tanjung Seteko Village.
