Protein is the foundation of cells in humans, serving as a building material for body tissues and the growth system. Proteins are derived from both animal and plant food sources, which can affect nutritional status when consumed. Adequate protein intake can lead to optimal growth, manifested through increases in body weight and height. One effort to enhance protein intake from food is through snacks such as high-protein pudding. This study aims to determine the effect of high-protein pudding on the body weight and length of Wistar rats. This research is quantitative in nature. The sample used in this study consisted of 12 male Wistar rats divided into two groups: control and treatment. The study was conducted over 14 days, providing standard feed A 591 K to both the control and treatment groups, along with the addition of high-protein pudding to the treatment group. The results indicated that both groups, control and treatment, experienced an increase in body weight; however, the treatment group showed an increase of 1.2 grams more than the control group. Additionally, there was an increase in body length in both groups, but the treatment group exhibited a greater increase of 0.3 cm compared to the control group. The conclusion of this study is that the administration of high-protein pudding can enhance body weight and length gain in the treated rats. A recommendation from this study is the need for an additional control group that receives standard protein.
