POLA KONSUMSI DAN AKTIVITAS FISIK TERHADAP KEJADIAN OBESITAS PADA PEGAWAI YAYASAN ISLAM TERPADU ROBBANI OGAN ILIR
Obesity is an increasingly prevalent health issue among the productive age group, including employees. Unhealthy lifestyles, such as unbalanced diets and lack of physical activity, are major contributing factors. Employees in sedentary jobs are at higher risk of experiencing energy imbalance. This study aims to analyze the relationship between dietary patterns and physical activity with the incidence of obesity among employees at Robbani Integrated Islamic Foundation, Ogan Ilir. The study employed a quantitative method with a descriptive analytic design and a cross-sectional approach. A total of 36 respondents were selected using purposive sampling based on predefined inclusion criteria. This study utilized secondary data derived from the 2023 Community Service Program conducted by Sriwijaya University. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test (fisher’s exact test) to examine the association between independent variables (consumption of high-risk foods, physical activity, blood glucose levels, and cholesterol levels) and the incidence of obesity as the dependent variable. The analysis results showed no significant relationship between high-risk food consumption, physical activity, blood glucose levels, and cholesterol levels with the incidence of obesity (p > 0.05). Nonetheless, adopting a healthy lifestyle such as a balanced diet and regular physical activity, remains essential in preventing obesity.
