This research aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance and workload on employee performance, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at the Main Branch Office of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) in Palembang. The research was motivated by a significant decline in employee performance in 2023, accompanied by an increase in workload, especially in the distribution of social assistance (bansos), which required extra time and energy beyond regular working hours. This research uses a quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) as the analysis technique. The sample consisted of 150 respondents who were active employees at the Palembang Main Branch. The results show that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on both job satisfaction and employee performance. Meanwhile, workload has a negative and significant effect on performance but a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is proven to be a partially mediating intervening variable in the relationship between work-life balance and workload on employee performance.
