Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) aims to improve healthy lifestyles and prevent health problems. Environmental sanitation plays a role in stopping transmission and prevent diseases related to the environment. Objective of this study was to analyze the implementation of PHBS and the condition of the sanitation environment of public elementary schools in Kelurahan 29 Ilir, Ilir Barat II sub-district. This research used descriptive qualitative research design through in-depth interview and observation methods. The research informants totaled 16 people consisting of 8 key informants (6 teachers and 2 principals), 6 teachers and 2 principals. teachers and 2 principals), 6 main informants (students), and 2 supporting informants (janitors). The results of the study found that the provision of clean water provision is quite good from the physical quality. The provision of latrines is adequate from the conditions, but the quantity and supporting facilities are not sufficient. Hand washing facilities with soap (CTPS) are equipped with running water, and hand washing habits have been established, but hand soap has not yet been provided. Liquid waste treatment is provided in the form of septic tanks waste management is provided by the separation of waste boxes as well as composting. The school has provided a canteen, and conducts mutual cooperation to eradicate mosquito larvae. Infrastructure facilities still need improvement in quantity such as CTPS stations and toilets or healthy latrines toilets in schools, developing waste composting systems, monitoring waste treatment, and conducting training on provision and policies related to junk food and conduct training on provision and policies related to healthy snacks with the with the help of the local environmental office, as well as making a checklist of places prone to places so that there is no stagnant water that poses a risk of mosquito breeding.
