KARAKTERISASI DAN KUANTIFIKASI SENYAWA BIOAKTIF PADA MALACOSTRACA (UCA SPP.) DI KAWASAN PULAU PAYUNG, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN, SUMATERA SELATAN
Mangrove forests are home to Malacosctraca class animals such as the crab Uca spp. which has a role in terms of economic and ecology. This study aims to characterize and quantify bioactive compounds in three Malacostraca species, namely Uca forcipata, Uca coarctata, Uca dussumieri which found in the Payung Island mangrove ecosystem, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. Three Uca species were extracted with 96% ethanol and analyzed through phytochemical tests and LC-MS. Uca coarctata contains saponins and tannins at 0.74 mg.ml, while Uca dussumieri only contains saponins at 0.72 mg/ml. Validation of compound types using LC-MS on Uca coarctata successfully identified 6 saponin derivatives, 2 tannin derivatives, and 7 saturated and unsaturated fatty acid compounds. These results indicate that Uca coarctata crab has the potential as a source of different bioactive compounds according to the characteristics of each species. ANOVA analysis showed that there were no significant differences in the levels of bioactive compounds between species.
