GAMBARAN KEBERAGAMAN PANGAN SOMATOTYPE DAN STATUS GIZI ATLET DI PUSAT PENDIDIKAN DAN LATIHAN OLAHRAGA PELAJAR (PPLP) SUMATERA SELATAN
A balanced and regular intake of nutrients is an important factor needed to support the improvement of athlete performance and achievement. Food diversity can have an impact on the fulfillment of nutrient adequacy for athletes. In addition, the athlete's body shape can also support the athlete's performance. Therefore, food diversity, somatotype needs to be considered in athletes. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of food diversity, somatotype and nutritional status in athletes. Respondents totaled 16 people who were PPLP athletes from 4 sports, namely rowing, taekwondo, athletics, and weightlifting and were taken by total sampling. Data were processed univariately and described. The results of this study indicate that all respondents have 100% diverse food diversity, as many as 93.75% of respondents have a somatotype that is in accordance with the sport, inappropriate intake is energy 87.50%, carbohydrates 93.75%, appropriate intake is protein 75%, fat 87.50%. As many as 93.75% of respondents had abnormal fat mass, and as many as 43.75% of respondents had abnormal muscle mass. The conclusion in this study is that athletes at PPLP already have a variety of food diversity but intake and nutritional status are still not appropriate. Suggestions in this study although all athletes have diverse food diversity but still need to pay attention to the quality and quantity of nutritional intake to achieve a more optimal nutritional status.
