Indonesia is still facing a serious stunting problem, where the national stunting prevalence in 2024 was recorded at 21.5%. Meanwhile, in Banyuasin Regency, the working area of the Pangkalan Balai Health Center, there were 217 cases of stunting in 2023 stunting from a total of 4,466 toddlers of 4.87%, higher than the average stunting prevalence at the district level of 3.94%. Hand Hygiene, Eating Utensil Hygiene, Waste Processing Hygiene, Diaper Processing Hygiene, History of Measles Disease that do not meet the requirements can be risk factors for stunting. This study aims to analyze the relationship between hand hygiene, eating utensil hygiene, waste processing hygiene, diaper hygiene, history of measles with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 0-59 months in the working area of the Pangkalan Balai Health Center. This study used a case control study design. The sample size in this study was 112 respondents with 56 cases and 56 controls. Sampling in this study used the simple random sampling method. Data analysis using chi-square test and multiple logistic regression test. Based on the results of the bivariate analysis showed significant between hand hygiene (p-value 0.001), cleanliness of eating utensils (p-value 0.002) cleanliness of waste processing (p-value 0.014), cleanliness of diapers (p-value 0.032) with the incidence of stunting, From the results of the multivariate analysis it was found that. hand hygiene (p-value = 0.000; OR = 6,745; CI = 2,815 – 16,161) is the most dominant variable related to the incidence of stunting. It can be concluded that maternal personal hygiene, especially hand hygiene, has a strong influence on the incidence of stunting in toddlers. Therefore, it is necessary to increase education and intervention from health workers regarding household hygiene practices, especially for mothers of toddlers, as a promotive strategy in overcoming stunting in the community.
