The intensive use of computers in the workplace has increased ergonomic risks, particularly for office workers with daily working durations exceeding eight hours. Static sitting postures and non-ergonomic workstation setups have been identified as contributing factors to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which negatively impact worker comfort and productivity. This study aimed to analyze the level of ergonomic risk and musculoskeletal complaints among office workers at PT. KAI UPT Balai Yasa Lahat using the Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) method and the GOTRAK questionnaire based on the Indonesian National Standard SNI 9011:2021. A descriptive observ ational design with a qualitative approach was applied, involving eight main informants and four key informants. Data were collected through posture observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaire responses. The results indicated that most workers experienced MSDs at a moderate level, with the back, neck, and shoulders identified as the most affected body parts. Final ROSA scores showed that all respondents were at a high ergonomic risk level (score >5), with the highest score reaching 10. The elevated ROSA scores were primarily influenced by the chair component (Section A), particularly due to the lack of adjustable backrests and armrests, which were also not used optimally by the workers. Ergonomic intervention is recommended, particularly the provision of ergonomic office chairs with adjustable lumbar support and armrests, along with training on proper sitting posture. These measures are considered the most significant in reducing overall ergonomic risk. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a foundation for the preventive management of ergonomic risks in office work environments.
