ANALISIS PENGARUH GEOMETRI PELEDAKAN DAN DELAY TIME TERHADAP FRAGMENTASI DI LOKASI PNBP TAMBANG LIMESTONE QUARRY PT SEMEN PADANG (PERSERO), SUMATERA BARAT
PT Semen Padang (Persero), one of Indonesia's oldest cement producers, employs drilling and blasting for rock breakage. The company's fragmentation standard is 80% for fragments measuring up to 80 cm and 20% for those over 80 cm. Direct observation indicates a high presence of boulders and secondary blasting activities, with many blasts utilizing a single free face. An average of 71 blast holes were drilled daily from January to February. Based on data from 12 blasts, the estimated fragmentation larger than 80 cm was 2.86% using the Kuz-Ram equation, while actual fragmentation analyzed with Split Desktop 4.0 showed 5.60% of fragments exceeding 80 cm. Blasting with surface delays of 17 ms and 25 ms proved more efficient and effective than 25 ms and 67 ms delays, as it shortened the blasting time and resulted in 4.34% of fragments larger than 80 cm, compared to 14.83% with 25 ms and 67 ms delays, according to Split Desktop 4.0 analysis.
