HUBUNGAN SANITASI LINGKUNGAN RUMAH TANGGA DENGAN KEJADIAN DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE (DBD) DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS BELINYU KABUPATEN BANGKA
Household environmental sanitation is closely related to the incidence rate of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). Poor housing and environmental conditions that do not meet health standards are one of the risk factors for the transmission of environmentally based diseases. Indonesia experienced a significant spike in DHF cases in 2024. Meanwhile, Bangka Regency reported 77 DHF cases in 2023, with the Belinyu Public Health Center being one of the health centers with a high number of DHF cases. This study aims to analyze the relationship between household environmental sanitation and the incidence of DHF in the working area of the Belinyu Public Health Center. This research used a case-control study design. The total sample size was 110 respondents, consisting of 55 cases and 55 controls. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using bivariate analysis in the form of cross-tabulation (crosstab) with the Chi-square statistical test. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between water storage containers (p-value 0.030), the habit of draining and cleaning water storage containers (p-value 0.002), and the habit of hanging clothes (p-value 0.037) with the incidence of DHF. Therefore, efforts to reduce DHF cases should be made by the health center through mosquito eradication programs and environmental health programs in the Belinyu health center working area.
