The growing number of freelancers, small and medium business owners, and individuals involved in the creative industry in Palembang has created a demand for spaces that support both living and working activities. In response to this need, the design and planning of the Small Office Home Office (SOHO) project integrates residential and work functions within a single building unit. Each unit maintains a clear separation between public and private zones to ensure user comfort. The site is designed with separated circulation systems for pedestrians and vehicles. The design adopts a bioclimatic approach by maximizing natural lighting and optimizing openings. In addition, the central open green space is equipped with shading vegetation and landscape elements that serve as areas for circulation and gathering. Each SOHO unit includes a mezzanine floor as an additional space to enhance productivity. By combining living and working functions, this project aims to offer a housing solution that adapts to the dynamic lifestyle of today’s urban population.
