The need for a Convention Center in Palembang with the main function of the building as convention activities, as well as a place for the potential for MICE tourism in Palembang City. Influence the development of the regional economy, business and leisure sectors. Holding convention events can be an event to increase investor confidence to invest and develop businesses, especially South Sumatra. Therefore, the location that will be used as a design must be able to accommodate the implementation of activities and several supporting facilities, such as the availability of infrastructure and facilities, ease of transportation and so on. Meanwhile, the emphasis is on design concepts with contemporary architectural programs that have the nature to always develop over time. This will later be related to the formation of the mass of the building, the facade, to the selection of wide-span structures. This building is realized as a convention function with exhibitions as a support for meeting activities.
