KARAKTERISTIK SKALA NYERI MENGGUNAKAN VAS (Visual Analog Scale) PADA PASIEN PASCA OPERASI SECTIO CAESAREA DAN IMPLIKASI TERHADAP ADL (Activities of Daily Living) DENGAN PEMBERIAN ANALGETIK PADA PASIEN DI RS MOHAMMAD HOESIN KOTA PALEMBANG 2024
Background : Postoperative pain following a cesarean section can significantly affect patients' daily activities (ADL) and overall quality of life. Effective pain management through the administration of analgesics is expected to reduce pain levels and improve patient independence. This study aims to identify the characteristics of pain intensity using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) after cesarean section surgery and its implications for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) with analgesic administration among patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital, Palembang, in 2024. Methods : This research used a descriptive observational design using primary data with a cross-sectional research approach, conducted on post-cesarean section patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang. Results : The majority of patients were over 25 years old (71.4%). Most experienced mild pain (40.5%), and 52.4% showed mild dependency in ADL. The most commonly used analgesic was ketorolac (73.8%). Conclusion : Analgesic administration, particularly ketorolac, was associated with reduced pain intensity and improved independence in daily activities among post-cesarean section patients. Keywords : Pain, VAS, ADL, Analgesic, Cesarean Section
