ANALISIS PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL DAN PENGETAHUAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN TERHADAP MINAT BERWIRAUSAHA PADA MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN EKONOMI UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
This study is important to understand how social media use and entrepreneurial knowledge can foster entrepreneurial interest among Economics Education students at Universitas Sriwijaya. Both factors are believed to play a strategic role in shaping students’ attitudes and interest toward entrepreneurship. The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine whether social media use significantly influences entrepreneurial interest among Economics Education students at Universitas Sriwijaya; 2) To determine whether entrepreneurial knowledge significantly influences entrepreneurial interest among the same group; 3) To examine the simultaneous influence of social media use and entrepreneurial knowledge on entrepreneurial interest. This research employs a quantitative method with a causal associative approach. The sample was selected using random sampling, consisting of 119 respondents. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire. Hypothesis testing involved simple and multiple regression analysis. The results showed: 1) Social media use significantly affects entrepreneurial interest, with a t_hitungvalue of 12.897 and a t_table value of 1.980; 2) Entrepreneurial knowledge significantly affects entrepreneurial interest, with a t_hitungvalue of 15.040 and a t_table value of 1.980; 3) Both variables simultaneously influence entrepreneurial interest, with an f_hitungvalue of 85.88 and an f_table value of 3.07. The findings are expected to encourage students to use social media more productively and enhance their entrepreneurial knowledge to foster stronger interest in entrepreneurship.
