Palembang has many developments and is even the center of good activity in the fields of tourism, industry, trade and Services. This certainly triggers the developmeni of tourists who come bot h foreign and domestic (local / domestic). Tourists visiting the tourist area aim to take a vacation, have fim and get away from daily life. The choice of hotel accommodation built will ajfect the attractiveness of the area. Hotel classification based on location is divided into two, namely: • City hotel, the hotel is located in the middle of the city • Resorl hotels, hotels located in tourist areas where guests stay for recreational or leisure activities. The location of resort hotels usually has tourism potential and is far from the city center, located in the area of trade and Services, tourism, or residential. For that location needed far from the city center but still have accommodations that can be reached easily. The Ogan River region has tourism potential in Palembang. The tourism area should have the characteristics of the area, but the building design will also keep up with the times in terms of design. The two points can be integrated into one concept, Modem Post architecture. Postmodernism includes skeptical interpretations of culture, literature, art, philosophy, history, economics, architecture, fiction, and literary criticism. So that the Planning and Design of Resort Hotels in Palembang as accommodation facilities from areas with tourism potential\ both natural and areas with special tourism by highlighting Palembang culture in buildings by following the flow of modern architecture and tourist areas become one of the orientations of buildings, with efforts /o improve the number of tourists who come also means increasing regional income from the tourism sedor in the City of Palembang.
