This study aims to determine the framing of the news coverage of domestic violence cases with the wife being the victim in the online media Detik.com and Kompas.com in the October-December period of 2023. The analysis was conducted based on 10 news articles published by Detik.com and Kompas.com. With the object of research news that contains cases of domestic violence against wives. This research uses a qualitative research approach and Robert N. Entman's framing device as a data analysis technique. The results of the study found that there are differences in the way Detik.com and Kompas.com report cases of domestic violence. The frame that is highlighted can be seen from the choice of words for the use of titles where Detik.com prefers to use the latest words to attract readers' interest while Kompas.com chooses to use straightforward words. There are also differences in news sources where Detik.com tends to use sources of information from perpetrators and law officials while Kompas.com adds the point of view of social institutions such as Komnas Perempuan. The last frame is seen from Detik.com and Kompas.com which are found to be inconsistent in mentioning the identity of the perpetrator and victim. This study concludes that although there are differences in the way events are framed, Detik.com and Kompas.com agree to condemn the actions of perpetrators of domestic violence.
